Hello everyone! My name is Andi and….
AT TRINITY…… I am a junior here at Trinity. As a religion and anthropology double major you may ask what the heck is she going to do with that…. I ask myself the same question. Archaeology is the field I’m directed towards. I have fallen in love with the discipline. You get paid to study ancient ruins and play in the dirt! (Its much more serious than that but you get the idea).
IN THE DIRT…… My most recent excavation was this summer in northern Israel uncovering an ancient Jewish village under the guidance of Jodi Magness. It was an amazing experience seeing the geography of the land, talking to its citizens and studying both the ancient and modern cultures. Below is the my area team
SPARE TIME….. Outside of school my other interests include horseback riding and belly dancing. With the class load I am taking dancing is the only sport I can find time for this year unfortunately. I am also an active member of APO, the new Delta Epsilon Iota chapter, and am a Swashbuckler.
EXPORTED…… Originally from New Mexico I miss the color brown, dry air, and the Balloon Fiesta. Texas is quite different despite being a neighboring state. I’m sure most can relate being fellow an out-of-towners. Only my parents are left in the Land of Enchantment, as my older sister is finishing up her masters in nursing at Notre Dame, Indiana.
At this point you probable are wondering what my title is about. Well, that I will leave for you to satisfy your own curiosity.
